Hola ppl. Do you ever think back to your first experience with the Ninja Turtles? I do sometimes. In fact, I have 2 first experiences with the Ninja Turtles.
Back in 1988/1989, I was in 4th grade, and the best thing to do back then was to watch tv. I was watching the tube one day, and a television show comes on the air. That show was the 1st ever showing of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It was the very first episode of the very first season, in fact. I was hooked after that. I bought the toys, and collected the trading cards. I didn't know that there was a TMNT comic book out there. My world was just those 3 things until ULTRA came out with then TMNT nintendo game. Then came the TMNT Movie, and then season #2 of TMNT, and then Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, and finally TMNT 3. After that, I watched the TMNT cartoon until the episodes started losing my interest.... I had effectively given up on the TMNT.
On September 12th, 1997, all of that changed. I was watching tv, totally unaware that that day was the premiere of Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation.... I was watching Toonami on Cartoon Network at first, but then I switched channels because everything on Toonami was a rerun. I stumbled across NT: TNM, and sat there, thinking that it would suck bigtime.... BOY WAS I WRONG. I watched NT: TNM's premiere episode, East Meets West part 1, and from then on I was hooked. That show got me interested in the TMNT again. I watched the 2nd week, and by then I was so into the show, I started looking for TMNT websites. I stumbled across Venus de Milo's "All the Good Ones End In O..... Still" page, and hooked up with DALnet's #TMNT. I have been there ever since.
After that, I started looking at more TMNT sites. I started my own NT: TNM website, which later became Auzzie's ShellShock Page, as it is today. I looked at fanfics and fanart by other people, and decided to try it. I now make my own FanArt and I write fanfics as well. NT: TNM, TMNT, and all my friends from #TMNT on DALnet got me interested in Art.... I spend a lot of time in the Art room at my High School making projects now.
Now, Auzzie's ShellShock Page is over 1,000 visitors strong, and I can do things that I thought were impossible to do before. I owe it all to TMNT and NT: TNM.
